it's hard to give up the one thing you thought you'd never leave

Dearest Gong Gong,

perhaps you are reading this as i am typing. i hope you are. i'm sorry you had to leave us so soon, nonetheless i dont feel sad, cos i know you are in a much better place :) seeing the way you shivered & how you couldnt open your eyes & all, it was really sad. & i'm relieved to know that your suffering & pain is over.

i just wanna say thank you for all the times. the times when you never failed to have a cheerful smile on your face no matter what. the times you said hello & just asked a simple "how are you", the times you played cards with us & taught us how to gamble (while mummy stared glaringly) & then you would split your winnings among us even though you won the most, the times you complained to us about how long-winded mummy & popo can be (haha), the times you mixed me & my sister's names up on purpose, the times you told all sorts of jokes, the times we just chatted or watched tv or have meals together. your sense of humour & your great cheerfulness has indeed left us many memories of you. who knew that it would all end today? & like ade said, thank God that we missed choir practice yesterday to visit you, who knew that it would be the last time we would see you?

so for these & all that you have done, i just wanna say i love you, Gong Gong. you will be missed, definitely, but what you have left us is truly wonderful & we wont forget that. may you go peacefully into God's loving arms.
